سارہ ولیمس-ماجد

Saara is a muslim, non-binary femme, disabled, quad-lingual, social activist, shame reductionist, poet, artist, student and facilitator. They were named lovingly by their community as the Femmeboi Goddess because of these identities. In 2013 they co-founded the organization Noor. Saara is also a Masters of Social Work candidate at UW Seattle with a focus in Multigenerational Practice With Children, Families, and Elders and intern with the Restorative Programs for Youth under the King County Superior Court.

They have been invited by many local communities lead workshops and have been feature in publications like Buzzfeed, and KUOW. In 2017 they received the Community Builder Award from the Muslim Alliance of Sexual and Gender Diversity. In 2018 their poetic work was featured in Yoni Ki Baat. Currently they are focused on their meal prep and catering service which practices food justice and accessibility as well as their education.
